MACRO AND EGPAF PRIORITISE PERSONALISED CARE
Malawi AIDS Counselling and Resource Organisaton (MACRO) with Elizabeth Glase Pediatric IDS Foundation (EGPAF) and with support from the Center for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), is leading the way in revolutionizing HIV care through a client centered care approach. Under the SCORE 95 project, the focus is on improving outcomes for clients currently on antiretroviral therapy (ART) by prioritizing adherence and retention, and overall health.
This commitment to tailored care was reinforced during a review meeting held on November 13th to 14th, 2024. Stakeholders evaluated the project’s achievements for 2023/2024 and mapped out strategies for the coming year. Key priorities include reaching 95% + viral load (VL) coverage, 100% VL uptake, and 95%= VL suppression by September 2025. The initiative also aims to expand access to HIV Testing Services (HTS) for priority groups such as pregnant women, breastfeeding mothers, adolescents and children.
SCORE 95 is one of the many projects implemented by MACRO working towards MACRO’s mission to transform lives and strengthen communities across the country.
